MaeMae Beach House is located literally on Kutampi beach,great spot for people who want to explore the original Nusa Penida life and enjoy all greatness the island has to offer.
Our just renovated rooms are nice and simple! All the rooms have little terrace, comfy double beds, private toilet and shower with good water pressure. Air con works perfectly, cable TV is available if you need it, wifi connection is good and minimarket is just across the street. Also MaeMae is located just on the beach so if you feel like a dip in the sea or go snorkeling it will literally take you one minute to get in the water. The breakfast (which is included in the price) can be served in our bar or on your terrace. Kutampi village is small but you can find all the necessities. We have nice market close by with very affordable local food! There are also many minimarkets for your daily needs.
Nusa Penida is quite big island with lots of amazing things to see. We have great natural beaches, snorkeling & diving spots and walk-abouts. You can swim with manta rays or climb crazy 765 stairs to see the most beautiful beach. Equally you can spend the day on Kutampi beach and walk around the village. If you would like to see more than Kutampi beach keep in mind that you will need some kind of transportation to get you from place to place (walking is not really an option). We can arrange guided tours with car or scooter!
The most important thing is that our staff is here to help you! We will gladly pick you up from the harbor, take you snorkeling and arrange guided tours around the lovely Nusa Penida island. We can also rent you scooters if you would like to explore the island by yourself. Anything you need, just ask!
It's good to know that the island still has very limited tourist infrastructure. You cant find large hotels, shopping streets or restaurant chains. But what you will find is an amazing community, spiritual places, stunning natural & rural beauty and (actually) just everything you need.
Also bring cash as the ATM works when it wants to and card payments are not possible anywhere in the island.
