La Taverna was one of the first hotels to open in Bali and has over the years played host to artists, writers, musicians and a wide assortment of other colourful personalities. Today the hotel's European owners endeavour to maintain the classic spirit of the old Bali of the 60s and 70s, whilst also seeking to provide a comfortable and informal environment for their guests. Situated in the historic coastal village of Sanur, La Taverna is a small privately owned hotel set within lush tropical gardens that open directly onto the beach.
